Hi
I'm relatively new to the manouche style so I've been doing some reading. I noticed this line on Bob Holo's site when referring to various styles:
"...the highly rhythmic and virtuosic Dutch style or the very explosive and hard-driving German style or the clever and melodic French style."
Can anyone describe further the differences between the three styles or suggest some artists that I can check out (on YT) to get a better understanding?
Thanks.

Well if i can be honest, those are just "words" and Bob's thoughts. It s really hard nowadays to define things regionally and things are always in constant evolution . That said, there are certain things that are popular in certain regions. Certain ways of doing things, certain phrases and certain tricks
i cover some of those topics here

If you want to do some further reading (and learning), Michael covers some different examples of the stereotypes between the styles in his Gypsy Rhythm book.
If you open up the "Samples" section at that link, there is an excerpt of the La pompe styles there, but the free example doesn't fully answer your question here. You'd need the full text.
