Just a shout out to Michael and a respectful thanks for this forum, one of the only places to talk shop in America concerning gypsy jazz guitars.

Altamira's are great. I've got a M01D. Great guitar. Don't play it a lot since I got a better guitar, but it served me more than well for a couple years. You really can't go wrong with an Altamira.

If you're interested in an Altamira M-01D, I've got a great one for sale on this forum for $800 + shipping.

Mr. Carington, you have pretty much summed up the conclusion I had come to. The Dell'Arte appears to have an issue with the arch of the top which I was told to look for. Probably something that could be fixed by a knowledgeable luthier but more trouble than I want to deal with. I am trying to decide which Altamira to get. I like the petit bouche look but and sorely tempted by MikeK's M01D for $800. The Favino is kinda cool as well. Anybody have an opinion on the Favino vs standard size?

If anyone would like to take a look at the Dell'Arte, I'd be happy to share its location offline.

    Todd
