    Accordion dominates the mix but I kinda enjoyed hearing him switching the registers, valves opening and closing and what not. It's Marcel Loeffler we're talking about here you know.

    ahah, I have 3 of Marcel's albums and though the accordeon on this recording sounded, tonally and ideas-wise, a lot like him. That explains it - it is him ;-)

    There are places in mixes where everyone has a space and everyone is heard, at least that usually is the goal, not have an instrument dominate a lot of the sonic space, especially when comping. That is not the accordion players fault btw unless he is the mixer....;).
