Brand new, literally out of the box, never-before-played custom-built Collins. The wait on one of these is probably over 12 months. UPS delivered mine on 7/13/06. Why in god's name am I selling it? I am in a serious cash crunch. Otherwise, this ad would not exist. Both Michael and I put a lot of heart into designing this and it can be heard and seen in the result. Micheal had an original Selmer in his hands at the time and we used it as a basis for this guitar's design.
AND,
I've had the wood upgraded from the original designs. Here we go..
-Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
-High-grade European solid spruce top. The pliage on this is amazing...you can see it pretty well in the pictures.
-Waverly tuners (ivoroid knobs). went for these over the DRs for
functionality.
-Solid (not kerfed) interior liners
-Solid wood bindings and purflings
-Three piece walnut neck with the original headstock joint Re-enforced with three aluminum strips.
-2 Ebonized Rosewood bridge.
-DR tailpiece.
-Combination nitrocellulose lacquer and delicate French polish finish.
