Dupont MD50

i have a md50 which I have been using for a while. I really like the sound of the guitar up to about the 12th fret. From the 12th fret it just doesnt sound as good. It may be really sensitive to how much pressure I apply, because I cannot consistently get it to sound in tune. I think the intonation is ok. Could this be an issue with the actiom or neck relief?

@drjazz intonation issues on the upper frets are usually a sign that the guitar needs a neck reset. While this is unusual for a newer guitar, especially a Dupont, it inevitably happens to all guitars as the neck moves out of alignment overtime which throws the intonation off. You can compensate for this by repositioning the bridge to account for the neck alignment issue.
