So a few comments here from me on My one and only love (In C):
1st two mesures - C6/Cmaj ideas
3rd & 4th measure - up and down F major to the 6th of A, then down A to surround the low A (or any idea that takes you from F maj to A7 scale/arpeggio)
5th Up a Dm6 from the low a you just surrounded
6th amin arpeggio
7th run d min to d diminished ideas
8th A dominant (a7 scale) with bb to B natural at the end.
Will try to make a video later. It's a beautiful song -just be thankful you don't work with singers - it's a bear to transpose honestly!
For that song, the singer has to choose the key which enables him or her to sing his or her lowest possible note as the first note of the song, and then pray that he or she is able to sing the hight note of the song!
@pdg exactly! so far - C (of course), G, Ab, Eb, F and D . . .
Also - for some singers this will vary by the time of day. . . how many days on the road/gig days . . . health and so on. lol.
While not particularly rhythmically interesting - here is that series of ideas for the first 8 bars.
Nice!
What kind of guitar is that?
Rip,
That is a Vladimir-Musik guitar (Vlad is a great building located in Nancy, Fr) - the model is a les effes (nichto rienhardt and sansevarino both use them as well).
