For Daphne you could run some ideas like this: Dmaj6 arpeggio to Edmin7 arpeggio; Dmaj6 from the f# to Gdim7 - notes in groups below:
(D F# A B) (E G Bb C#) (F# A B D) (G Bb C# E) (A B D F#) (Bb C# E G) (B D F# A) (C# E G Bb) - up or down, any direction.
Can be nice as a tension release, mixed with other concepts too . . . A bunch of this, then some nice blues in D minor resolved to a solid chord tone at the end of a phrase . . .

Ps. The C# spelling is deliberate, yes, I know traditionally would be Db on an E diminished, but I find it easier in the key of D to see the leading tone rather than the 7th on the diminished. . . sorry!
