My Dell’Arte guitar came equipped with this pickup. The amplified sound was the best I ever heard with the Bigtone. However, the acoustic sound was disappointing. It was much more quiet and subdued than I would have expected with this quality of a guitar.
I had my repairman check it out and he removed the pickup and fitted and installed a new bridge. It was like a totally different guitar. I really want to use the Dell’Arte acoustically and I have a thin Lace humbucker I use with my Gitane when I need an amplified guitar. I really dont want to install the Bigtone on any of my guitars, so it must go. It works great and would be perfect for a guitar that you don’t necessarily want to use acoustically.
