Does anyone have any experience with the best location internally for a CS Sensor or Jokko Manouche Mic? I want to put one inside an Altamira M01 which has a lot of braces.
Mine (Manouche mic) is mounted here, the dark spot just below the soundhole
does the job. That was the first spot I tried, sounded good and I left it there but I'm going to experiment with it at some point. Move it towards the high E and low E and see what happens as compared its current spot.
The pickup which I had mounted internally was an Ischell a few years ago.
After some experimentation using a volume meter, my genius guitar tech ascertained that the sweet spot inside was directly below the bridge, between the A and D strings.
He stuck it under there with double sided tape and there it’s stayed for years now.
I am pleased to report that it’s still sounding great and giving me no problems.

I took a wild shot and had my manouche picks mic mounted just like yours today and cannot believe how good it sounds.

@Buco I've always loved that picture. It is almost like a Halloween pumpkin!
