Here is a good-sounding magnetic pickup for gypsy jazz guitars made by geronimo mateos a builder of gypsy jazz guitars. The native configuration is for the pickup to be clipped onto the Oval sound hole with the cable run internally to the included end pin jack. Depending on the thickness of your guitars top the pickup may fit snuggly or may need a bit of putty on the side (not under) of the pickup for added security. No soldering is required just a hole for the jack to pass thru the guitar.
