I don't think these have been mentioned:- "Farewell Blues", "Some of these Days", "Bugle Call Rag", "Ain't Misbehavin'".

Paul Whiteman's Orchestra did several tunes that Django subsequently played but I don't know exactly which ones Eddie lang was present on.

Thanks for the shout out, Billy.

I am embarrassed to say that I don’t have any answers to the quiz.

But in searching for them I ran across a complete Lang discography, which to me is a 21st century miracle!

Now I here’s another trivia question.

Alas, I know longer know the answer myself so I’m hoping one of you guys will think of it.

    OK, here it is:

Django made a record with some singer or other in which he deliberately threw in a lick with a bent string that is quite obviously ripped off from Eddie Lang.

It is done in a kind of cheeky way… remember the scene in the film “Amadeus” when Mozart is called upon to copy Salieri’s playing and he makes a joke of it? It’s kind of like that.

So the question is, what tune was it?

Paul Cezanne: "I could paint for a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing."

Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."

Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."

Will, great question. I wish I had a great answer, but I dont.

Teddy, nice job with the additions. I didnt have Farewell Blues, Some Of These Days, Bugle Call Rag and Ain't Misbehavin' on my initial list.

The 3 remaining tunes I had were: All Of Me, Chinatown My Chinatown & Crazy Rhythm. (All beginning with one of the 1st three letters of the alphabet, right?!). So here we go: the following are my initial 9 plus the 7 revealed by the forum, making a total of 16 tunes recorded by Django & Lango (sorry, I just had to throw that in there):

A Little Love, A Little Kiss/Dinah/I'll Never Be The Same/I've Found A New Baby/Sweet Sue, Just You/Georgia On My Mind/Chinatown, My Chinatown/All Of Me/Crazy Rhythm.

    I'm Coming, Virginia/Tiger Rag/After You've Gone/Farewell Blues/Some Of These Days/Bugle Call Rag/Ain't Misbehavin'.

Thanks to everyone who got involved. I'll post an October trivia question once Will's is solved.
