Hello, I'm fixing an old banjo guitar.

Into the resonator there is kinda like "mark" on the wood.

Maybe with a little oil will gain a bit of color. Unluckly has that humidity spot.

Never seen one, do you?

well, it sounds like a banjo, but plays like a guitar!! I have a broad taste in music and think that banjos sound great in many different genres, so adding some to gypsy jazz would be much appreciated, and I'm all for mixing it up and keeping things interesting. The Beach Boys have used banjos occasionally, as have The High Llamas and Jellyfish (American powerpop band from the '90s) all to great effect.

Are you able to take it to a gypsy swing jam sometime?

Not knowing much about banjo, I'm wondering if there aren't idiosyncratic voicings or lines that show up in banjo playing that might not translate to this instrument or be more difficult to play? But, moreso, I'm assuming that opens up other avenues that are more "guitar" voicings that are now available with a banjo sound. Certainly makes it more accessible for guitarists to pick up the instrument. Do you tune it to an open tuning or do you just keep it in guitar standard tuning?
