How to delete our own post?

I inadvertently sent a blank post and while I can edite it to add some text, I can't find a way to delete it .

Is this possible or does one need to be a moderator?

It depends on your user level. More advanced users can delete their own posts for a limited time. After that, a moderator has to do it.

@pdg it's pretty common on most forums. You can delete the post but after a certain point it becomes part of the historic record of the forum.

Yes, @MichaelHorowitz, I can see the logic in that,

And it is certainly disconcerting to be reading an old thread and discover gaps where someone's posts have been deleted.

However, in this case it's a blank post with no historic value

Yeah, @BillDaCostaWilliams , I think those gaps happen when people's profiles get removed. I know when Ted G. left, there were a lot of stories and info that disappeared with his profile.🤷‍♂️
