I read somewhere Grant Green was the most sampled artist by remixers etc.

My shoot from the hip reaction was "Why don't people play the instruments themselves instead of..."

In a video (I thought GG's family-made documentary, but it could have been another YouTube video I binge-watched), GG was said to have appreciated the sampling/remixing work people did with his own music. He saw it as positive, with another generation being drawn to his music, after the disco era he was not fond of.

So maybe Django would appreciate modern remixes of his recordings, slapping his new and laughing he didn't know that was possible? (In French).
