Looking to upgrade

I've been playing guitar for about 20+ years and been heavily into the gypsy stuff the last year, I've been wanting to upgrade from my Altimira m01 soon. I'm definitely approaching things with a modern approach sound wise.. really love the gonzola and Adrien solo stuff. I'm looking for something to do more modern style gypsy jazz stuff, more originals with the vein of swing and jazz influence. I've been really interested in these new leveller f hole p90 models he has up for sale at the moment. For 1600$ plus shipping to US seems to good to be true with everything else out there being in 3k and up range. Please school me on stuff..I'm all ears.

Just be aware of customs duties. Plus, possibly, "use tax," which your state may collect from you, courtesy of U.S. Customs notifying the state government that you bought something from elsewhere (California for sure, don't know about other states.)

He hasn't been building very long and sells direct, and on Reverb, so that accounts for the low price. The new model looks well built, I'd be curious if it still feels like a Selmer style guitar.

Geronimo Mateos would also be worth looking at in the sub $3k range. Stringphonic guitars are also a really good buy right now with the Yen conversion rate.

I'd also mention JWC guitars. Never played one, but the ones I've heard sound pretty nice. I think they are in the 1800 Euro range or so depending on model. He has made Busato, Selmer, Favino and DiMauro replicas as well as some more obscure such as a Wappen or a Marius cello style.

Just saw a basic model used Stringphonic sell for just under $1000 shipped (that's around the price I personally would pay for the lower end model). Plenty of deals out there just be patient.

That's a really good price. I guess good luck to me in selling mine at my asking price 🤣

I guess I'm really digging the versatility in tone options with maintaining alot of the techniques and style. I do alot of original singer songwriter weird jazz proggy as well and I like this idea .. I recently got a Krivo for my Altimira and plugged into my line6 hx stomp is really fun and new sounding..as well I have the k and k pure macceferi xt running in stereo..I'm enjoying the new possibilities..and just wanting to entertain more..thanks for all the feedback..I'm definitely open to anything you throw at me.

I build for KSR amps and my own company heathencraft fx and build for tons of other OEM projects I'm not allowed to say. Thank you for welcoming me to community .
