Hi !
I'm Pierre Ramonet's great-grandson, also named Pierre after him. I'm looking for anything related to my grand-grandfather ; pictures, videos, audios, magazines.. anything that could give me info and souvenirs of him. My grandmother tells me that he's a very revered musician. Tells me about how Grappelli played at her marriage..
Anyways, i'm looking for anything anyone can give me on Pierre Ramonet. Thanks a lot !

Pierre Ramonet played for example with musicians like Joseph Reinhardt and Matelot Ferret.
I have a digitized copy of his LP "Jazz Violin", I'm sure I can find a way to transfer it to you. It's quite a relic of it's times! He can be seen playing guitar with Joseph Reinhardt here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRN-HNjui4E. He is the second guitar, often thought to be Vivian Villerstein but in fact Pierre Ramonet, and here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biRpIBxr2kE playing violin. I also have a photograph of him with Sarrane Ferret, Noye Malha and Jacques Montagne, which I can digitize and transfer to you. People who knew him told me that he was a journeyman professional musician in Paris and could play whatever the job called for.
No way he recorded an lp ! didn't even know that !
Could you send it to my email adress, pierregantier90@gmail.com ? It would be huge, i'm sure my grandma would love to hear her father again !
I'm glad to hear he had a good reputation. From what my grandmother told me, he used to go to Paris, and was the 1st violin for the philarmonic orchestra. Maybe that'll give me (or you lol) more infos on him. Thanks again if you find anything else !
