Hello -
I am looking for spots or clubs where to listen to Gypsy Jazz in NYC. I saw a previous post from a few years ago that mentioned: Cornelia street cafe, Anyway cafe, Bistro Fada, Barbes, Bar velo
Unfortunately the first 3 places seem to have shut down... Any suggestion would be quite welcome, thank you!

Another option might be looking at players gig plans instead of venues. Charlie Roman is very active in NY, and i think Olli Soikelli and Brad Brose too.
St Mazie Bar in Brooklyn. I went to see Koran Again and then once I was there I found out that they have two stages and Stephane Wrembel was playing as well the same evening. So I got to see both.
Bistro Fada is still there it’s just changed its name to Bistro So. I’m told there’s still a jam on Thursdays but best check with the venue first it’s a bit off the beaten track.
Thank you everyone, that is quite helpful. I actually went to Prohibition to see Charlie Roman last night, based on DoubleWhisky's response: they are really good, thank you for the recommendation, I had a blast!
Yeah! Charlie Roman has put out some cool videos on the net. I'll bet they were great live. Did they dress up in tuxes or period clothes like they do in those videos?
Charlie Roman was wearing a cool venetian Halloween mask!
I'd bet that he did. Charlie is walking the talk.
