Hey everyone,

Although we're lucky to get some of the best European players over for gigs, the local scene out here in the Beetroot Belt is pretty fragmented and homegrown bands are few and far between ...

... but we have our moments. Here's a couple of minutes of Double Jeu with Karol, rhythm player for local heroes Les Souvenirs, with 15-year-old Max, aka Baro Bromberger:

BTW how did Am7 and Cmaj7 cause offence?

There was an awful lot of muzak and fusion being played when I came up with that. Time for a change!

Thanks Wim, i switched to the desktop view and it popped up (I accidentally posted an empty post earlier so I'm recycling it, that's why it's above Wim's post)

Buco, the signature is not visible on mobile browser.

Good playing there! Only 15 years old?? Lead player must be a big Stochelo fan

    Very.

We've been going to the February retreats with Stochelo/Paulus/Christiaan van Hemert just outside Tilburg, Netherlands for the last 2 years, and 2025 will be no different. It's totally mind-blowing to play with and learn from your heroes.

CvH in particular has been very supportive throughout the rest of year, too, which is priceless because GJ players are as rare as hen's teeth here and GJ guitar teachers even rarer (I've taught him thus far, but there comes a point when, Dad or not-Dad, you gotta recognise your own limitations).

It's really cool to see how to grew up with the guitar and progressed.
