Hello Guys!
Recently I fell in love with manouche guitars and gypsy jazz, and I am thinking about buying one. I live in Hungary and unfortunately, there are no guitar shops around here which sell gypsy guitars, but before I buy any instrument, I would like to try it to know how it feels, sounds. I wanted to ask you if you know about any guitar shops near Hungary (Slovenia, Austria, Checzia, Poland, etc.) where I could have a chance to play these guitars before buying.
Thank you for the help!

My Friend Marek Piatek is currently selling a guitar. He lives in Krakow, in the South of Poland. Worth a shot? If yes I can introduce you.
I would prefer a shop because there are multiple guitars and I can compare them to one another. For that reason I wouldnt want to travel for one guitar, but thanks for the info, if I will go on a "second hand hunt", I will definitely check out your friends guitar!
Bricks-and-mortar shops selling GJ guitars exist in this part of the world in theory ... but not yet in practice. Good luck!
Look for festivals, travel someplace where there's a jam etc...and ask people to try their guitars. Risto Ivanovski in Skopje makes phenomenal guitars and they're inexpensive compared to most.
What Buco said - plus, if you are anywhere near Budapest, go and watch Debi Botos play: she's just moved there from Canada and is gigging most weekends (follow on FB for details). As for available guitars, she'll almost certainly know someone who knows someone ...
