This beautiful grand modèle Busato was built during war time and carries a label from Cité Griset. The original owner used to play it in various guinguettes along the Marne river. After he passed, his family stored the guitar in a closet where it remained unplayed for decades. According to Jacques Mazzoleni, "It's one of the best Busato's I have ever seen with respect to condition and sound”.
The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated Brazilian Rosewood back and sides without any crack. The original fretboard (included) was replaced and refretted. This accurate fret board and a precisely positioned replacement bridge have made the guitar easy to tune and play. The work was done by expert luthier Jérôme Casanova in Paris.
The hardware is original to the guitar, comprising SB tuners and a BB tailpiece.
This guitar is very, very similar to Stéphane Wrembel's. It plays very easily and has a great, big sound, as well as nuances. The Dropbox links below include:
