Coincidentally, some years ago I bought a used 12-fret oval hole John Levoi guitar which was on consignment in a guitar store in Los Angeles. They said it was owned by Lawrence Juber. Lawrence said it was a great instrument but it apparently didn't fit his playing style.

His "LJ Plays The Beatles" album is classic. He has a great feel for making melodies sing, with just the right balanced dose of accompaniment.
