    Just for fun (and in service of thread drift), here's a sample of playing on a '75 Marin Montero that could be the twin of mine. I wish I could say that my playing is a fraction of what's on display there.

    JP Favino made a bunch of guitars in the late 70s using cedar. I’ve had some of them come through the shop over the years and they were some of the best sounding examples I’d come across. At 20-30 years old they showed no signs of tonal degradation.
