Hello all
I'm finally listing one of my GJ guitars for sale.
This is the Petite Bouche I finished this year. I genuinely love this guitar and I've been playing it all year.
I was in a rush to finish this guitar for DIJ this year and rushed a lot of cosmetic stuff. In particular the binding is not beautiful. Not that you'd notice it from across the room, and for most people probably not if I didn't point it out to you, but it's definitely not pro. This guitar is more or less a prototype and a further refinement of the guitar the Travis Bleen ended up buying.
So there's little cosmetic things here and there that aren't up to snuff. For that reason I'm not putting a label in it. Obviously I made it, and I like it, but it's going for a discounted price of $1500 + $100 S&H. For a lot of reasons I think this is a hell of a lot of guitar for $1500.
Top: Old sitka
Back and Sides: Indian Rosewood (sides are structured)

I have some great video clips of this guitar. Here's good ol' Sam just tearing it up

So Travis Bleen as my witness, Tcha played this guitar and said something crazy complimentary about this guitar that I won't repeat, but fair to say that he liked it. (He didn't like that I put a 12 and a 15 string on top of the guitar)
I made a youtube video walking through this guitar. I'll add some pictures in a bit
If nothing else, just check out Sam and Henry wailing on it just for the musics sake....

Hey Paul, I mentioned that there is another one of your guitars for sale to some buds here in NYC and one of them is especially interested that you have another petite bouche for sale. I'll pass along this post to them.
Between the two guitars I own (the other a Gaffiero) my "McEvoy" is my usual favorite to bring to the jam. The rhythm just barks so nice, and it responds so crisp to chord tremolos and the low end is so bassy, but very clear. I almost have to remind myself to not play so hard because it's so naturally loud. I still love my Gaffiero a lot, it's bright and loud too, but I find on my specific one there's lack of beef in the bass that your guitar definitely does satisfy. Your guitar I'm just loving more and more everyday.
I hope this one finds a happy owner. I remember playing this exact one listed here at DIJ and I actually was going to take this one first. Then when I heard Tcha played the other one on the portico...it was hard to not snag that one while I had that chance. I'll confess that in the back room he had some very kind words. Idk how many American made gypsy guitars he has tried by any specific luthiers, but he said this is one of the best ones he's played over here. Again, don't think he was meaning to compare your builds to anyone else's. Maybe he doesn't another recent memorable experience playing an American made gypsy guitar and was probably just expressing how he was feeling playing it in the moment. I do know he was very happy to play mine on front portico until the sun came up that night. I have clips of that if anyone is interested.
How is this still available... looking at the quality vs price ratio this has got to be one of the best priced guitars ever. This is such a transparent guitar. To be absolutely honest, my preference is darker sounding guitars but this guitar is as hi-fi as it gets. It's not bright in the sense that it's treble heavy. It's incredibly well balanced. It's got everything in the right spot, like Travis said plenty of fat bass but articulate and ringing, the high notes are crystal clear.

If I had the coin I'd be in...just don't rn after the holidays, maybe in a couple months tho
I’m in the market but I already have a slightly more modern sounding guitar. For my next guitar I’m looking for something more traditional. This is a killer deal, though! This is a high quality luthier-made guitar for the price of a factory import!
I second what Travis said. This is a great guitar at an amazing price. Someone will be lucky to have it.
