I bought this tailpiece on Ebay a few years ago. I'd been waiting for a suitable guitar to put it on, and it suits my Cholet (bought last year, also on Ebay!) very nicely. It has a longer reach and seems to suit the very large body perfectly. Anyone recognise it? I wonder who made it? I emailed Benedetto, but they're not sure.

Not Chinese?
Most things these days are Chinese....they have a way with metal.
It's definitely hand made - the underside is more crude. It's so nice! It's made me realise that longer reach tailpieces on Favinos, or other long scale large bodied guitars might actually suit them better. This one measures 103mm from the bend to the centre of the G and D posts (about 10mm longer than usual).
I think I sold that one to you , if not I sold an identical one on Ebay. I bought it as a Benedetto made tailpiece.
Hahaha!! Oh wow, that must have been the one then!! It's spot on for the big bodied Cholet.
The reply from Benedetto is:
Hi Jamie,
That style of tailpiece isn’t consistent with anything from Benedetto that I know of. I suppose it’s possible that Bob replaced the ebony on an aftermarket tailpiece either as a repair or replacement, but neither he nor we have ever marketed a part in that style.

I was just curious as to who made it, and for what guitar.
That's interesting. I bought - and sold it - in good faith using the description given when I bought it. Still, it's a good tailpiece and I'm glad your pleased with it.
