hi i have just purchased a schertlr dyn-g system. i've mounted it all correctly etc but keep having problems with buzz on the lower strings. i use a maurice dupont md 60 and have been using a simple bass practice amp at low volume and my old beast of a laney valve amp through the low impedance input. i haven't yet tried it through a pa.. any ideas from anyone? i've trid moving it around etc..

Try this...I did this the other night. With out the pickup on play your guitar with your ear as close to the tailpiece as you can and still play. You will hear some crazy stuff going on that you don't hear 24" away! Then put the pickup on and listen for some of the same sounds coming through your amp. Move the pickup around and see what sort of tones you get by placement. It is an interesting experiment.

If that's what it truly is - it could be tough because anything you do to get rid of it (IE, adding damping or bracing) will affect the overall resonance and sound of the guitar...
Try tapping on the sides, top & back your guitar with the tips of your fingers or joint of your thumb to see if anything rattles... you may have a loose brace or the start of a crack?? If so - it's best to know now. Take a look at Frank Ford's buzz diagnosis page:
