The “Atelier de Swing” is an italian gypsy jazz band consisting of two guitars, Lorenzo Marino and Marco Parodi, bass player Francesco Bertone and accordionist Luca Zanetti. In adding to the quartet there is the participation of violoncello player Alessandra Soglio and moreover of Jazz singer Giorgio Conte (brother of Paolo Conte).
Atelier's music is born from the common passion for Django Reinhardt, that during the the 30's, fusing the typical characteristics of gypsy music with the incoming Jazz, created an unmistakable and marvellous style. The various musical extractions of the members and the choice of an inusual repertoire (based mainly on original tunes) contribute, in the execution and the arrangement, to create the particular "Atelier" sound.
