Do you have a preferred position to place the electronic tuner?
I stick it on with a double sided tape on the back of the headstock (removing the clip entirely). I like this approach because it is visually hidden but can be used discretely on a gig/between tunes by the player.
An important point with tightly fitted cases - the tuner does not protrude from the instrument at all. My AJL case fits the instrument like a glove, with no room for any appendages.

I just put it on the handle of my amp if I don't want it on the guitar. Personally I don't care if it's on the guitar though, it has never bothered me seeing tuners on other people's guitars either.
That's a good idea. I have had really mixed results with the D'addario tuners, sometimes they have a hard time picking things up. But I have a few, I'll try that.
Here are two options. The second picture shows both at the same time:
I just wear outrageously bad taste shoes then nobody looks at the headstock, easy.
I do what @geese_com does. The higher one.
I usually keep the tuner clipped to the leg of my sheet music stand. If needed, I take it from there, tune my guitar and then put it back.
