@Chiefbigeasy Tension is not good and it's a tough one to solve. I've been making gains, I feel, so it's not impossible. Belly breathing, remembering to relax by doing a dead drop with both hands between the songs, visualizing the calmness of my practice space and such.
It makes me wonder why, if I can still ride a bike without relearning it or practicing it, can’t I play “Indifference” without making so many mistakes?
Playing the instrument is a lot more precise, you're talking micro differences between a clean note and a bum note. Riding a bike is much more forgiving.
@paulmcevoy75 good stuff. I just played rhythm along with you and it's nice. It demonstrates the value of metronome practice in my opinion. Not so much for time keeping, but being able to outline the song to a listener through your playing without any accompaniment. Just listening to you playing, the changes aren't plainly obvious but when you play rhythm along with it, you can tell you're doing a good job playing the changes.
PS I didn't see Bill's post before posting. The dude riding a wheelie...wtf???
