What happened to the ZT lunchbox amp?

They don't seem to be available anywhere any longer. There's still a website but I don't understand if the manufacturer is still in operation or not. The only information I can see is that they no longer have the latest available model in stock. Seems like the perfect amp if you travel by bus/train/foot. Very interesting concept. One would like to see them keep going and continue to refine this little amp.

They discontinued all the models they were known for. Last I heard they're still building hand wired tube amps in California, I think 12" combo.

I never heard anything about what's behind the decision to seize the rest of the operation. They built decent amps. There was some controversy about them rating the Acoustic model at 200W. Eventually they de-rated its published wattage to 70W but defended their original rating. I still use the Lunchbox acoustic myself. It's got the power I'll ever need to play this stuff. Once I compared it to Bill's AER, and yes his amp was better but not by much to justify almost four times what I paid for the ZT back in the day.

Aha, I see. Well there could be many reasons. Anything really. But they have the know how and maybe if factors that led them to decide not to go on with the lunchbox at this point change in the future, hopefully they can pop up again. Thank you for your answer!
