Not much of a story other than that guitar is a story of my youth. Which I suppose I could spend an evening talking about the gigs etc... It's a mistery guitar. No serial number, no name of any kind. Had a Gibson diamond logo on the headstock. Good guitar, really good quality build. Dude that sold it to me was like "man, it's a "Gibson" down to a screw", when talked on the phone, lol. It had super hot pickups, it would saturate the amp. Once I plugged it in through a guy's JCM800 at a show. Never heard a better electric guitar sound to this day. My band buddies did Buddy Holly comparison too. We'll talk the rest when I see one of these days.

You guys sound good, Mike. That violinist has a really sweet tone. Great player too but his bowing is so smooth.
Thanks Buco! And you're looking awfully suave in your new forum pic.
I lost a few pounds and grew hair.
I'm catching a Buddy Holly vibe there. If there's a story to go with that Les Paul, please tell it.

I'll look forward to it!
