Thanks for the heads up! It took me a while to find this...The title is actually "Django Celebration #01."

I don't use Spotify, but I'm happy to report it's available on Qobuz.

It's on Deezer as well. I just searched for "Rocky Gresset". He has so few albums out there that only a small handful come up. Live album (lucky audience), super well recorded. I thought it was a studio recording before I heard the first applause. Rocky plays a nylon string, it's a nice contrast to Stochelo's sound. Hopefully there's more like this coming if they titled it #1.

Very fresh sounding For Sephora. Rocky's comping sounds wonderful. I should figure out what's he doing...

It's basically William's brainchild and he's planning on recording several more follow-up albums, according to this info

Does anyone know who's Strange Eyes composer?

That's a cool pairing, classic meets modern. It seems too soon for the next release though. Didn't #1 just get released?

Thanks @BillDaCostaWilliams It's a great song, I'm surprised it's not performed more. I mean, not an easy tune to play but all the top guys can. While you can hear its influences, it has its own voice, I really like it. Even when you use "strange eyes gypsy jazz" as the search term, except for one video from 12 years ago when Mozes played, nothing shows up.

An interesting thing that comes up when you search for the name of the album, Target and Barnes and Noble come up as the options to order a CD and vinyl.

There is some gig footage from sunset sunside up too. Made For Isaac and then Webster.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but I don't enjoy this album much. Nylon string sounds corny and that style of comping just reminds me too much of muzak. Looking forward to #02 with Fanou and Tchavolo, surely that will swing hard 😏

The classic meets modern is the whole point of the project. Here's the full description from their actual channel, where I got the info above. They have 2 performance videos: Webster & For Sephora. Looks like the same performance that Wim linked above.
