This looks great! I feel like I've asked this before, but any particular reason it's taken so long to come out? The '92 CD (a classic that anyone who doesn't have should go buy, NOW) has been around for ages...maybe they just did well with the Samois disc?

    Best,
    Jack.

I have no idea....but I think the Rosenberg's were a little late to realize the potential of video.

Watching, re-watching, and again and again....the Live in Samois DVD, can't get enough of it (or Nous'che's right hand). Bones, Michael, anyone - where can I get this North Sea DVD? Any ideas?

A wish for peace, health and joy for everyone here, and everywhere else, on this struggling globe.

Oh, thanks, Bones - extremely kind of you. But I think I just got it! The cover isn't exactly the same as the one Michael offered here (there's no "Festival '94", but otherwise, same cover), but the song list is the same - a CD/DVD combo? Is that the one you have?

No mine is just a DVD. I'm sure I must have gotten it from Dj-books but it looks like it is out of stock???

Mine says '94 and just has a pic of the trio with a reddish background color.

I think I also may have a CD that is '92 but not sure about that.

I'm a bit confused, because the track listing on Michael's '94 DVD is the same, identical, to the "CD-DVD I bought off E-Bay...the only difference is Michael's lists the '94 DVD as:

The Rosenberg Trio Live at The North Sea Jazz Festival ’94 DVD (Zone 2)

    1. Douce Ambiance (D. Reinhardt) 2’42
    2. Minor Swing (D. Reinhardt - S. Grappelli) 2’37
    3. Nuages (D. Reinhardt) 3’09
    4. Les Yeux Noirs (Trad.) 2’01
    5. For Isaac (S. Rosenberg) 4’19
    6. Sevilla (S. Rosenberg) 3’38
    7. Bossa Dorado (Dorado Schmitt) 3’43
    8. Armando’s Rumba (intro :stochelo Rosenberg) (Chik Corea) 4’37
    9. Swing De Paris (D. Reinhardt) 2’33
    10. Via Jeiro (L. Chavas/Zimbo) 4’13
    11. Embraceable You (G. Gerswin) 2’44
    12. Cherokee ( ) 2’58
    13. I Surrender Dear (H. Harris/C. Gordon) 3’42
    14. Avalon (B. Bernie/K. Casey/M. Pinkardt) 2’14
    15. Stephanesque (solo : Stochelo Rosenbeg) (S. Rosenberg) 4’45
    16. Caravan (J. Tizot/D. Ellington) 4’13
    17. Sweet Georgia Brown (encore) (B. Bernie/K. Casey/M. Pinkardt) 3’26

Concert "North sea jazz festival" July,8 1994.

Extra - The rosenberg trio in concert 1992
    18. Micro (D. Reinhardt) 3’00
    19. Spain (Chic Coréa) 4’06
    20. Honey Suckle Rose (Fats Waller) 3’12
    21. Amigo Claudionocruz (S. Tapajos) 2’43
    22. Les Yeux Noirs (Trad.) 2’42
    23. Troublant Bolero (D. Reinhardt) 2’34
    24. Les Feuilles Mortes (J. Cosma) 4’59
    25. Nuages (D. Reinhardt) 2’50
    26. Armando’s Rumba (Chic Coréa) 3’44
    27. Anouman (D. Reinhardt) 2’24
    28. Foe Sephora (S. Rosenberg) 4’33
    29. Improvisation (D. Reinhardt) 2’58
    30. La Gitane (Tchan Tchou Vidal) 2’32

And the one I bought calls it a CD-DVD combo, but looking at the back of the DVD (?, CD + DVD?), it's the same.

Argh, I think I spaced, yet again. What I bought is a CD-DVD combo; the CD is of the '94 concert (I have a CD of the '92 concert) and a DVD of the '92 Concert. The one Michael lists is a double-DVD, '92 and '94 concerts. Not sure which one you have?
