Sad to see. I have watched many of his films and LOVE the atmosphere, the casting, his sense of humor, and so much more. I hope this encourages some people to check out his other films like Korkoro and Gadjo Dilo.
Sad to hear. All the Gatlif films I've seen were most memorable with passionate acting, music, film making, which capture a unique joie de vivre!

I was bummed last time I visited France. I tried searching at the FNAC and other media stores for Tony Gatlif soundtracks and DVDs in stock with no luck. I'm sure they could have been ordered but we were traveling and no way of being in one place long enough for them to arrive. But, I recall some of them can be found on various video sites if you look hard enough.
