Hello to all!.
Recently, out of the desperation caused by the absolute lack of other gypsy jazz players here in Mexico, i`ve been investigating the sweet possibility of jamming on-line in real time. I`ve heard a story of a guy rehearsing with his whole band through the Internet so i`m guessing it can be done.
I`m thinking of using google talk and a PC mic and i might have a chance to try it next Tuesday.
Have any of you tried this before?
Would it be possible to add a "jam on-line" feature to this site? Michael?
Wouldn't` it be awesome?
I`m very interested in any information and opinions from all of the users of this forum.
Looking forward to playing with you!!
Enrique.

Yes...sadly that`s what i`ve learned...
I read that it could work but only using midi, which sounds pretty bad.
Anyone knows of a way to make it work with real instruments?
Something like jamming on the phone with three way calling, maybe?
Anyone?
If not i guess we`ll have to wait a few years...(please don`t let it be so)
P.S.
There`s something, only not nearly as fun which is to record your playing against a backing track and leave some space for the other player (s), then post it and wait for them to record their parts...could work like trading one chorus at a time...
but as i said not as fun.
