Rodrigo Shopis Guitars purchased by Samson + Dorado Schmitt

Dorado and Samson bought and played two of Rodrigo Shopis's D-hole Guitars on their last tour here in NYC at Birdland and for their west coast swing. Rodrigo made Samson's guitar specifically for him and Dorado loved the guitar he played last time at Lincoln Center that he couldn't part with it. These are real player's guitars. Solid wood and impeccable craftsmanship.

I had the great joy of playing 2 of his instruments at a guitar show on Long Island, NY, last summer. They are first class in every way. By definition, then, they are out of my league based on ability. They were not excessivey expensive - especially based on the materials, finishes and extraordinary tone and playability.
He was also an approachable guy.
