Ben was a very good friend and the most wonderful young man I have met. It was a delight, privelage and pleasure to offer my home to him last spring. His soulful personality, skills and talents commanded respect by everyone that knew him.
All my sincere condolances go out to his family , Shepp and Ryan...

    Carry on mate...

shep, and the Rest of Ameranouche plus extended family.
I am deeply saddend and dismayed by the news of such a loss. Please acept my condolances and let me know if there is anything I can do. Benjamin and I had spoken a few times about doing an all Ben gypsy band . . . perhaps in the next life! Anyhow, Good luck.
    Cheers,
    B.

  • Ameranouche wishes to thank everyone for their sympathy and condolences. We will, however, be continuing to play as a group. There will soon be a new DVD featuring the last precious moments we shared with Benjamin Wood, live and off the stage. We will also be going in the studio soon to be recording a new album. We are also putting up a new website.
In the meantime, we wish to let you know that we will be continuing our journey as Ameranouche, as Ben would have wanted it.
We will be playing the dates that we have listed on our calendar with guest bass players and subs.
We will be playing this Friday at Adagio Trattoria in Brattleboro, Vt and Sunday at The Hudson Town hall in Hudson, Ma, with Bassist Zach Ovington, and wish to thank him for helping us.
We hope to see you all there and appreciate your support.
    Thank you again,
    Sincerely,
    Shepp and Ryan
