DANIEL COLIN & DOMINIQUE CRAVIC: PARIS MUSETTE. Paris-based Daniel Colin may be the last of the great French Musette accordionists. He started playing the famed bals musettes in the 50's. He has recorded close to a 100 records and played with a who's who of the French music world - including Gus Viseur, the master musette accordionist as well as the collective Paris Musette which also included Jo Privat, Marcel Azzola and Richard Galliano. He is an absolute virtuoso whose skills were acquired largely in front of dancers, making him both a great improviser, and a great entertainer. This is a unique opportunity to hear French musette not as repertoire music, but the way it was meant to be played. With special guest chanteuse Claire Elzière.
