Playing standing?

I have never seen a GJ guitarist perform standing up. There must be a good reason, but I can't think of it.

There do seem to be GJ guitarists that stand while performing. Perhaps my real question is: why is it so rare?

I don't know about you guys but trying to do the gj picking while standing is just more impossible than while sitting. Seems like I've got to have the guitar on my right knee to get the angle of my right hand correct. What about you guys? Anybody else have that same observation?
