Been using the book for about a month now - Audio clip

edited March 2005 in Gypsy Picking Posts: 27
I've previously been playing for about 4&1/2 years, and started using this book around the start of febuary. Anyway, I just wondered if I'm on the right track or not. Here's a short mp3. but maybe some pictures of my picking hand would help as well? I can recorded vids but without sound, so i don't know how much help that would be.

Anyway, I think I'm kinda doing okay, but i may be wrong

I don't have a proper gypsy jazz geetar(yet) so I played this on my Takamine.

Sounds pretty good. I actually used Echoes of Spain as a Gypsy Picking etude while I was learning the technique. I played it everyday for 6 months.

It's hard to say if you're doing the technique 100% correct. Your tone sounds pretty good, but it's hard to say unless I hear you play something uptempo with a visual.

    Good work!
