i don't understand what the big deal is - if this was his only selmer style guitar I could see why people were upset, but I am sure he has at least one if not a few dedicated acoustic selmer style guitars.

Or if it were an original Selmer. I think it's a bit ugly, and I bet I'd prefer the sound of a Stimer, but the mod doesn't cause me to wince in pain.

    I don't think it's really that big a deal.....I was just joking.

The question is: Was that a Kinnard hand made Dell Arte or one of the new Asian factory made Dell Artes?

I think it is a cool modification. Humbuckers do sound great.

    Swing on Robin!

    Cheers,

So it only appears to have drawn winces from us woodworking types then?

I can only equate that with expecting a woman to fully understand the pain of a swift kick to our lower regions.:lol:

I hope the knob is not in the way of his strumming. It looks like it is right where the wear on the top is, but maybe that is just a reflection or something.

It's not that it's a big deal. It's just a little brutal to watch. Plus I think what Josh did looked a lot prettier in the end.

And Powerfibers, I agree - my first thought about that volume knob is that it could be in the way.

See, it's not always a good idea to live in a city (Amsterdam) that has Legal "Smoke Shops".

I think the guitar should also be refinished to a matte camouflage.

Funny how you never get to hear what it sounds like.

Does it howl in French or Romany when it feeds back?
