Rare Video-Costa Lukacs

Costa was considered to be one of the best gypsy guitarists around but he didn't make any recordings that I know of.
I got the video link this morning from the guy who posted the clip.

Wow, what a player! That clip of Misty was very nice--nylon string and hybrid picking. Very tastey.

thanks for this advice, Andreas! Costa was such an outstanding player. It´s a pity that he never recorded commercially and that his recordings are so rare.

I found info about one of his recordings on a very Rare LP from 1969 called Mr. Guitar under the name of Kosta Lukacs Combo:

You will have to google yourself, as it contains a link to the album, and I don't know how Michael feels about me posting that.

my friend Denis Mafli was good friends with Costa as they played togehter (Denis is a violinist and can be heard on Dany Bittel's recordings).

He has private recordings of Costa on cassette, but he doesnt know how to transfer these tapes to digital format! ARGH , i'll have to go to switzerland and show him how to do it

he told me a bunch of stories about Costa; apparently he was very eccentric... which is to be expected of such a genius
