What do you! think is the advantage of the wrist bend?
You're able to take advantage of gravity when your wrist is bent. So gravity does a lot of the work for you....you get more volume and articulation with less effort.
On electric this doesn't matter as much, hence the more common planted wrist.

Thanks Michael for that interesting point. I also thought that is supports looseness and relaxation. But from a mere logical standpoint I think that a straight wrist (not planted or anchored to the guitar) will also allow to take advantage of gravity. Though I guess that it is easier with the wrist bend to let gravity work.
For acoustic guitars a wrist bend is in general more ergonomic I think, especially when positioning the arm in Django style.
