Longmont Gypsy Swing Festival

The Hot Club of Boulder presents:

Longmont Swing Festival II: Gypsy Rendezvous
Saturday, July 7, 2007
Roosevelt Park Pavilion
Longmont, Colorado
Noon to 10 PM

This will be an all day festival featuring (we think) *all* the gypsy jazz groups on the Colorado Front Range.
Come spend the day with a veritible army of Djangophiles, including:

Archtop Eddy and Mango fan Django
David Williams and Deco Django
Hot Club of Boulder
Blue Horizon
RUE
The Cottonwood Club
Hot Club Cats
Paris Swingset

and possibly Le Bottom Ez (a Robin Nolan tribute conceived by Archtop Eddy).

This is a free community event sponsored by the City of Longmont Community and Neighboorhood Resources.

This will be a swingin' affair! Don't forget your dancin' shoes!

It's great you guys got Rue Jazz to perform...
I hope Dexter Payne will be performing with them...
He's a good old friend and a Down Beat poll winner in Jazz Clarinet!
I have it penciled in as I am on old Boulder'ite from the 70's...
I am looking forward to it...

Hello Bob,

The Countrywood Inn and RV Park is real close. I suggest you make the trek to Estes Park Campground for beautiful mountain camping while your there...

I'll have to check my calendar, not sure about that weekend, but if I can escape, that could be a lot of fun, sounds like a great way to spend a weekend to me!

My family and I are planning the trip to Longmont as the wrap up to a Colorado camping trek.

I just received a Park Encore that I am trying out so may have that with me if I decide to keep it.

Hi Allin,

Unfortunately RUE won't be playing the Longmont fest. Actually, RUE is no more... we changed up some personnel and reformed as Baro. The good news is that Dex is now a permanent fixture!

But due to a scheduling conflict, Baro won't make it either. In fact, I think Dexter is one of the people who had a conflict for that one.

But maybe I'll see you there anyway!
