Ferre Brothers To Endorse Manouche Guitars

Just received word that the Ferre brothers will be endorsing Manouche 14 fret D hole Orchestre guitar.

it seems that in this particular style of music the famous players 'endorse' new guitars pretty frequently - why is that? How do they get away with it? Are endorsement contracts not exclusive?

I don't know how it works with other manufacturers. I met Moreno Winterstein in England last year and he told me through a translator why he liked Manouche Guitars and why he decided to endorse them. The Ferre Brothers were playing 14 fret Orchestres with John Vickers of Manouche Guitars last weekend in England and were, like Moreno, impressed with them. I do know that in both these cases Manouche didn't go looking for endorsements, they were offered by the players.
