thanks guys, i've spent the last few days doing a lot of research on the internet, so i've pretty much read most of what is out there... of course the internet is of limited help but it's so new to me that i have to learn a bit before doing anything else.. .at this point i m looking for people who are knowledgeable enough to answer a few questions.

please find someone who is a real doctor and specializes in mental disorders and speak with them about this- its the best bet . . most doctors would be willing to answer a few questions if aproched nicely.

Hey Dennis, I had a close friend go through this in college and I sympathize. It was a very difficult situation. In our case, the problem with a campus environment is everyone is too open-minded to alternate lifestyles and too busy dealing with their own academia to do anything about the problem. It eventually came down to him being arrested for his behavior in public and committed. We were lucky no harm came to him, but we could have been more proactive about getting him help.

He's ok now though. The medication and treatment works.

If you see something going on that is potentially destructive, try to act as soon as possible. Best of luck.
