Last Call for Django in June!

Hey Everyone...

Django in June is upon us, so here's your final invitation to join in the fun. We have almost 70 people signed up for Django Camp this week - guitar, violin, accordion, mandolin and bass players. While it is too late to get in on that, you can still drop in for all or any part of the upcoming weekend. We have private rooms in a really nice dorm, lots of clinic offerings, and two great shows featuring Wawau Adler, Biel Ballester, Stephane Wrembel, Tim Kliphuis, Kruno Spisic, and Vladimir Mollov (plus Ted Gottesgen on rhythm guitar making his first appearance as an East Coaster!).

Vendors will include Michael Horowitz of Djangobooks, AcousticMusic.org (Park and Dupont guitars), Bernie Lehmann (his own nice guitars), Rodrigo Shopis (more nice guitars), Ithaca Stringed Instruments (violins and amplification solutions), Draleon (cool new guitars and mandolins), and Wayne Nakamura and Dennis Chang representing HyperHip Media. Word has it that Ernie Pugliese will have a couple Manouche Guitars on hand to show around. We'll have pickups to raffle from Schatten Designs and strings to share from AER.

You will be greeted by dozens of players from all over the US and Canada who have been hard at it all week long and who are primed for jamming. We have local bands and jam groups from a couple different areas that have signed on together (Babik from Buffalo; a crew from the DC area; Minor Swing from RI often makes it...). Bring your mates! Perform for us in the dining hall!

Granted, as the organizer of DiJ I'm extremely biased, but I think this is an extrodinary, once a year opportunity for us to meet, greet, explore, learn, hang, djam, shop and get re-inspired by one another in the proverbial flesh. Please join us in the way that suits you best.
