I wanted to post a photo of my project guitar for all to see...
I have only Mac's in my studio...
I get an error message from Django Books...
What's up with that, anyone know?

I use a mac as well. Just hit the add attachment button below and select the .jpg image you want to post to attach the picture to the post. Then click the submit button at the bottom.

O.K. Here is the first of many mods on Gitane's I am doing...

1) I refinished the top with 12 coats of Nitro Cellulose Laquer...
Hand buffed to a high gloss...
2) Installed a Big Tone with new moustache ends...
3) Installed a Humbucker (Seymour Duncan SH2N) with volume, tone controls and switch...
Removed the 21st fret of the fingerboard for the Humbucker fit...
Added L braces around the Humbucker mount under the sound board...
4) New Schaller tuners...
5) New Tail piece...
6) Polished the frets...

I have other Gitane's waiting for similar mods...

I was just offered $1,500 for it...

It's a killer guitar!!! Loud and the mod's haven't effected the acoustic tone in a blind fold test... Arch top sound through a Polytone with the Humbucker... GJ sound with the snap of the Big Tone through a David...

Oh yeah... The volume and tone controls are from a Fender Jazz Bass...
Nice and small, easy to see in the dark with the pointers... Newtone Strings, the Nickel Jazz Gitane ones for pickup's...

You said the tone hasn't changed, even though you refinished the top?
