I just heard this the other day and wondered about the singing, now Im itching to know, that thought hadn't crossed my mind that it was DR.

I think they all sing in that piece, I mean all the members of the Hot Club de France at that time..

Django, Naguine and Jean Sablon are all "singing". I am sure the gruff voice featured on both versions of "Blue Drag" is Django

During the previous track on the same CD, "Miss Otis Regrets", they start playing/singing "Blue Drag".

Not to mention the backing vocals on 'I'se a Muggin'....

Is there any scope for a 'Django Sings' CD?

    Perhaps not.

Well Mister Jean Sablon had a lot of money as he was famous and "international" I mean he nade concerts in England and then in the States, etc... so he bougth a new recorder and he tried the new toy with his friends Django and Naguine.

It's just made like that to try and to show, to play I'm sure that Django was very happy with that and young Naguine too !

It reminds me of so many silly recordings made when you and I were young Maggie !
