Wayne, thanks so much for the clips. I really miss the spirit, the jams, and the cameraderie of Django in June...seems like a dream. The clips help bring that stuff back.
Playing the usual straight-ahead with my guys has lost some of its luster since DiJ, but I did manage to pull out some gypsy licks Saturday night...I was a jammin' gypsy fool.
A week has past since Django In June, and it's likely that many of you are still experiencing Northampton gypsy jazz withdrawal effects, as I am! I've published my conclusions on this unique event on my blog, and invite you to add your own two cents, if you feel so inclined: http://www.amateurmusicians.net/2007/06 ... nclusions/
While I was attending, I also had the opportunity to record an audio interview with Andrew on his Community Guitar project, which is now published on my blog as a podcast. Thanks again Andrew, for being so generous with your time! http://www.amateurmusicians.net/2007/06 ... -lawrence/
If you have an account on Flickr, and want to add your Northampton experience photos to the Django In June pool, please do so here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/djangoinjune/
Finally, perhaps we never got a chance to chat in Northampton, or you've forgotten who this Gilles Roy guy is. If this be the case, check out my musical bio on my blog: http://www.amateurmusicians.net/bio/
Anyhow, it was great to meet you all. Let's keep in touch!

48, 49... I wasn't sure and Ted G. wasn't handy so I looked on Kruno's cd and that's what he calls it on the cd.
To me it's so modern it could be Swing 2007.
I hear what you're saying about it all seeming like a dream. I'm just glad I went. Life's so short you've got to occasionally treat your soul.
cheers
