Are there gypsy jazz players that play, say saxophones or trumpets? I've heard clarinets and accordions, but everything else seems to be strings. Is that right, or are there other threads of GJ with horns?
it is hard to answer this question because it is almost impossible to define gypsy jazz. But yes, there are bands like WASO, Alma Sinti, Lagrene's Gypsy Project which include horns. And there are gypsies who play horns, like Storo Limberger.

I don't know if he is still around but there was a cat named Dodi Schumacher(sp?) who played sax on a Lulu reinhardt record from the late sevenies or early eighties.
